ONE WEEK GET-AWAY!

Recently, I went to Spain, specifically in Galicia, for a one week get-away. Galicia is my region of origin, and for those who don’t know it, it is located in south-west Spain. The advantage of this region is that it is not very touristy even though that’s a pity because beaches, tourist sites or simply culture have nothing to envy to the other Spanish areas.

I took these pictures in front of this magnificent building from 1879 and which was formerly a Jesuit university before becoming regrettably a concentration camp during the Spanish civil war. Apparently, today, there are negotiation for a plan of building a luxury hotel. But in the meantime, the building is falling into ruins, which is a shame because I really think that these kind of sites are clearly part of the region history.
I should admit that before writing this article, I didn’t know the history of this building. My family just explained me that it was a monastery, and by doing some research to tell you about this building, I learnt more. I must say that if this building intrigues me since I was a child, today it is even worse and I would love to visit inside, inspired by the old original pictures I saw.

Regarding my outfit, I’m wearing grandpa cut pants with my inseparable Vans. Top, a basic black t-shirt with a high collar (which I love) and a striped shirt, open. Two pieces found at Bershka. For the practical side on vacation, the belt-bag Gucci – to take only the essential with me – and of course a pair of solar, this one found at Rigato Eyewear
